How long does shipping take?
The shipping time depends on the zone to which the shipment is to be sent. Shipping within the EU usually takes 2-7 working days. Please bear in mind that some precious metal forms are produced exclusively for you "on demand". These include rhodium or iridium bars, for example. The production of these bars can take up to 4-6 weeks.
Is shipping insured?
All our shipped orders are insured. The amount of insurance depends on the shipping service provider.
Parcels sent by Austrian Post are insured up to € 500.
For higher-priced products, we offer the shipping service provider "GoRocket", which specializes in the secure (and insured) shipping of valuables.
Note: The insurance should cover the full value of the goods. We therefore recommend selecting the shipping service provider "GoRocket" at checkout for orders over € 500 value of goods.

I have heard that osmium can be toxic - is that true?
It is correct that osmium is considered toxic in its original form. However, this does not apply to the osmium sold in the MetaMetals store, as it has lost its toxicity through the crystallization process or sintering and is therefore considered safe.
Which countries does MetaMetals ship to?
MetaMetals ships to all German-speaking countries such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. However, EU-wide orders (including France, Italy, Denmark, Spain and Luxembourg) and orders to the USA are generally possible. Find out more about shipping.
Is gift packaging available?
Unfortunately, there is currently no gift packaging available for selection during the ordering process. However, we are always open to special requests - contact us with your request, and we will be happy to see if and what can be done!
Is there a minimum order value?

How can I track my order?
You will be automatically informed about important steps in your order by e-mail. From receipt of the order to dispatch. You will also be sent the tracking number of the shipping service provider after dispatch, which you can use to track the parcel.

We work to the highest quality standards in order to be able to offer our customers high-quality precious metals. However, if there is a problem with your order, please contact us and we will find a solution together. Please also note that orders are insured up to a certain amount, depending on the selected shipping service provider.
How are the ordered precious metals packaged?
How the precious metals are packaged depends on the shape and weight of the precious metal. We offer sturdy plexiglass boxes and floating frames for the bars. The crystals come either in an elegant and sturdy black cardboard box or in gel packaging. The type of packaging depends on the shape and weight. Which precious metals does MetaMetals sell?
We currently sell the precious metals osmium, rhodium and iridium in various weight options in our store. These are sold either as bars or crystals.
What are precious metal NFTs?
"NFT" stands for "non-fungible token". NFTs are a method of uniquely mapping values on a blockchain. In contrast, a currency such as the euro, for example, would represent a fungible (exchangeable) value, as 1 euro coin can be exchanged for another euro coin (or the digital equivalent). Currencies, for example, are not unique, unlike NFTs. Nowadays, paintings by famous artists, pieces of music or even precious metals are traded via NFTs. MetaMetals offers its customers the option of also mapping the purchased precious metals on the blockchain via NFTs, making them easily tradable. Will I receive the ordered precious metals delivered to my home in physical form, or only as an NFT?
Our physical precious metal sales are two separate areas and do not touch each other unless requested by the customer. Anyone who orders physical precious metals in our precious metals store will receive physical precious metals. The optional NFT trading of our precious metals is also outsourced to a separate MetaMetals NFT platform. There is therefore no risk of confusion.
