Rhodium Bar

Rhodium cannot be easily cast like gold or silver: It is hard, brittle, very dense, high-melting, and comes in raw form as a powder. Instead of melting it, we compact the rhodium powder under heat and high pressure into a solid, compact bar in defined weight classes.

Every bar is produced in Austria, individually inspected, sealed and certified. The standard bars keep their characteristic pressed surface; the 1/10 oz bar is additionally mirror-polished.

Rhodium is among the most valuable precious metals. Its price can swing sharply, because the market is small and driven mainly by industrial demand — above all by automotive catalysts, which account for around 80% of global rhodium demand.

The price volatility became dramatically visible in early 2021, when rhodium briefly rose above USD 29,000/oz — more than 15 times the gold price. The current price for each bar is shown with the product above.
